Holly, our golden retriever sat up with us and I mean sat up.....her butt on the floor and ears propped up as though she understood every word.

When I checked my e-mail, there was Holly sitting looking at me...the block was so precious that it brought me to tears! And the floppy ears reminded me of how she "raises" her ears when she instinctively becomes engaged in the conversation. Janice had captured her "persona" without ever seeing her. I loved it immediately! It was exactly how it should be.....authentic expression from the hand of the creator. One-day I too, may be sitting on the porch not sure of where I am or how i got there.....but I know one thing - I will always remember this block and the person who made it.

Janice, Meet Holly

Hello, Holly...

This feels like Christmas to me. All the nice things you all have said, especially you Bee. I look at that block and can see it as pretty simple, perhaps as some of you see it. But what you need to know about me is that I follow patterns, cook with a recipe, get up the same time every day, follow most (notice I said not all) rules. Doing something a little bit out of the box is a big deal and to have rec'd such a lovely response to a few hours play is really very gratifying. Thanks, ladies!

Ladies need your opinion do you think these fabrics will work up better in Mrs. taft's Choice or My Blue Heaven, both blocks are at quilters Cache under 12" blocks. Also adding this to the three month group

I would probably use Mrs tafts choice with those fabrics (very pretty btw) it may be because I made my blue heaven with tot fabrics so that's how I see it in my head I'm having a hard time visualizing it in prints.

I love the fabrics! Not sure which I'd do so I'd make samples and then decide. MBH would probably work up much faster if that is a consideration.
