We too have a kitty that has a gender complex. Our Cami was really a boy. Even the vet was mistaken!! We changed his name to Camo. Good thing he is an orange tabby. Kinda looks the camo design.

Pat, I love these pretty hexagon flower coasters Jaba made for you. I can never get enough pretty flowers in any form.

I made one of my sisters a coaster with one big hexagon of a pretty print, and one made of a flower with tiny hexagons. I will be making my other sisters hers, but have until the end of the month for hers. They were my try outs for this swap, but last night I came across another pattern I am trying out tonight. IF they turn out nice, then I will make a bunch for this coming Christmas for family.

Looks like everyone has the same idea with the Hexie coasters. I thought I'd be unique and had found a pattern using a hexie, etc. May have to look some more....for anther idea, I really like those.

Not to hurt anyones feelings but I think a coaster and mug rug are about the same.Tracey, I think once you make something that shape it kinda sticks with ya awhile. I made a couple table mats that were hexagon lately.

Ladybug, I think you should go for it. These were the first hexes I have ever made. Usually I do round or square, but wanted to try something different for me

cat info, calicos are 99.99% girls, and flame/red/orange tabby is a boy. there is always an exception to the rule though.
More coasters being delivered tomorrow. mine, for one.

We had a calico once. We got her when we were married for one month. I know calicoes are usually girls, & I did hear that orange kitties are usually males, but I only heard that lately, from someone at work. I never had an orange cat, but they are pretty.

Mary -- that depends on the size of your mug rugs. The Mug Rug Swap requires the mug rugs to be at least 9"x8", which would make a very large coaster! Prior to joining the mug rug swap, I made my mug rugs 6"x8", but that's still very big for a coaster. Or are you referring to the way they're made? If that's the case, then forget what I just said. And, in that case, I would agree with you.

One of my back yard kittens is a male orange tabby. He's got all the right equipment AND he has a kink in his tail! A little cutie but not that fond of me

Cat lovers: There is a wonderful fabric of kittens in a garden on equilter.com. My friend is adopting 2 blind kitties.
Yes, she is a truly wonderful person. I could not resist getting her a piece of this darling print.

Looks like once again size does matter.....lol. I never heard that about calicos before. Dotty it does take someone special to rake in a animal with any kind of handicap. I believe they train them selfs to find where their food is etc. Good luck to her.
