I guess I'm the only one that had a female orange cat. I got her when I was was young and even had kittens from her but I don't remember her having any orange ones. She had a calico that we kept and called her Patches.

Pat,

My QB name comes from a Persian calico we had named Patches and our other big old calico kitty named Posey. Together they made up my two favorite things (quilting and flowers) hence Patchesnposies.

We had two orange cats that someone dumped off at our farm in SD that we named Lewis and Clark....both boys, of course. Lewis had a stroke shortly after he came to us and walked crooked for the rest of his life. We called him Crooked Kitty and after the stroke he was the sweetest thing there ever was. He mothered every baby that he came across, animal or human. Baby Jersey's, goat kids, ducklings, a colt, puppies, our son......he was something else.

All of my calico's in my life have been girls. Love me some kitties.

Deb

I would love another kitty in our house, but Zoey said no. She rules the house like most kitty's do, but she is firm on that one. we don't want to change her personality either, so we'll stick with her.

I'm so glad to see that everyone is having fun. Jaba and Mary - those coasters you made are fabulous! So bright and cheerful! Looking forward to seeing some more great coasters.
Pat, you aren't the only one who had a female orange cat. My sweet Coco, that I had to put down last July, was a female. I still miss her every day. I never heard that orange cats where always male. I did hear that almost all calicos are female just like my Callie.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Lynnie, your coasters are beautiful ! They arrived yesterday. Poor mailman had to trudge through 8 inches of snow ! Yours are done and will be on their way very soon. Pat

Chasezzz -- if I start now, how long will it take me to get there? Darn ... I think I'll miss teatime ... I'll have to wait for the next invite! (But please fondle a few fabrics for me in the meantime!)

That's my one-eyed Jack in my avatar. He was born to a feral female in my back yard, and got a badly ulcerated eye that had to be surgically removed. He is now my indoor sweetie and loves to be cuddled. The next year I rescued his best buddy "Frankie" who also had a badly ulcerated eye. I call him my little sausage. They are both such happy little guys now! (one is black the other gray). I call them my monochrome kitties! And between them, they have 20/20 vision!!
