I laughed out loud at this MizMelly! Adorable Tale of Two Lucky Kitties!
(At first I thought your avatar was a cleverly photo shopped picture of a cat smiling and winking!) Jack is very rakish looking.......is he named for the card or Jack Sparrow?

Jack is actually named after the One-eyed jack in a pack of cards. I was thinking old west poker games when I named him. The vet tech that took him in for surgery called him the ugliest little kitty he'd ever seen (his eye was beyond hideous). And no that pic is not photo-shopped. Jack has that smug look on his face when he's on top of my entertainment center. He's rather pleased with himself most days.

Sewnsew please post pictures. If your unable to maybe Lynnie can get her friend to do it? I love your 1 eyed Jack. He looks like he is smiling and winking like he knows a BIG secret.lol. Grey cats are my favorite. I have no reason I just love the color.

MizMelly -- your Jack does look like he knows something the rest of us aren't privy to! You're a sweetie to save the two of them.
I checked online about the orange kitties being mostly male. It's true -- 80%/20% male to female ratio. Apparently, the orange color is in the x-chromosome, & the orange in both x-chromosomes in the female fights until one is left standing, & that's where calicoes come in (they're almost always female; males are rare). If someone has a male orange cat, he has an extra chromosome (xxy), because the orange color is only in the x-chromosomes but he's male. And sterile. That's about as much as I understand about it, but I thought it was interesting. Especially since I hadn't heard that orange cats are usually male until several months ago.

Mary, love the floral coasters. such pretty soft spring colors.
Speaking of kittens, I'm watching the Kittenbowl. cuteness abound.
I too would like an idea of next months theme. This is a fun swap for sure!
