I received my charms a couple of weeks ago. Because of my brother-in-law's funeral and family in town, I set them aside and forgot about them. I finally had time to go thru them. I am happy with what I received. Thanks everyone for participating.

Hi would also appreciate a pm. I sat out the last one as I had a ton of I spy blocks, but made 2 quilts, fussycut all the smaller designs into smaller blocks - I threw a bunch of 2.5" novelties into my scrap quilt and I LOVE it) and am starting to run low of certain things again. Are the bags going to be organized the same as this swap? If so I can get mine all ready while I clean out my sewing room. Thanks!

This sounds interesting. Would love to see a picture of your quilt.

Not really an I spy quilt, but a friend asked if I would make a baby quilt for her coming nephew. She had a design she liked and wanted to have some Seahawks fabric included. I told her I could do it all in Seahawks colors or use some yellows and maybe a little purple so I could throw in a chicken (she raises them). The chicken came from January's I spy swap! She loved it

I still have to finish the outer white border, but it's coming along well. I showed her a photo of the layout before I started sewing it together and she loved it (I did offer to change out some of the dark squares for a lighter one, but she had me keep them since it went with the Seahawks colors better-- lime green and navy blue for those who don't know).

The chicken, butterfly, balls, and ladybug fabrics all came from the swap. There is also a bluish grey fabric that came from a bag of scraps sent to me from zozee.

Because it is a baby quilt, I'm still a complete beginner, and I'd love to see it get a lot of use, I used a 3/8" seam instead of 1/4". It made calculating the width of the white borders a little more involved, but I was so happy I got it right the first time. I also double-stitched the seams, so really happy I didn't have to do any frogging! The white does make me a little nervous (stains, etc), but it's what she wanted.

I try to send out PM's to all who have participated or expressed interest in the swaps - sometimes the posts can be missed until the deadlines have passed.

Quiltingdragon - would love to see your quilts you made! And SleepyHollow, love your Seahawks quilt - know a little one will love it!

I will probably go back to the 10 fabric per bag distribution - dividing the blocks up took most of 2 days for me. I did those who sent in the most bags first and then when I got to the smaller bags lastly, I found that I had multiples of some of the same squares, so dipped into my stash to get different prints for those. So, unless there are a lot of people preferring the 16 squares of the same fabric method, I will go back to the baggies of 10 different prints.

I like the 10 fabric per bag method. When you figure how much it cost per square to pay postage, it's not cost effective to do small quantities.

Thank You for doing this again, Rena.

I have enjoyed doing it - it is fun to see all of the different fabrics chosen. The last swap with so many fabrics to divide was much more labor intensive - so like the bag method much better. I still will thumb through the baggies to find inappropriate fabrics, those not fussy cut etc.

I do think the fabrics over all this time were of a better quality than some I have seen - so I like that trend.

Will get the next swap up in a few days - so start shopping and cutting!

Okay, so we're going with baggies of 10 different fabrics? What's the maximum number of baggies we can send? I'll have to check my stash and see what I already have. We're having to have a new heat/AC unit installed in a few days, so my fabric budget has gone kablooey for the time being. I can't complain TOO much, though, because the old unit is about 30 years old, but do you know how much fabric I could buy with that $4,800?!?
