Well, I'm back to using my own computer but it's not functioning properly in some areas however, I can get to this site and that's great! It's temporary home is in my living room ... maybe it's like some plants and animals and doesn't thrive outside of it's natural habitat !!!

Camel is the color I used but it can be either lighter or darker ... it doesn't have to match mine perfectly ... different shades of those colors will add more interest. You can even use various shades of the same color in a row or in individual blocks. I have grey in my row but there are several shades of it scattered about. I googled the two colors ... if you go to benjaminmoore.com which is a paint company and type first "camel" and then "taupe" in the search box it will bring up many variations of those 2 colors any of which would work just fine with my row ... same thing with the taupe. If you have a printer you could print out all the variations so you could take it with you if you are going to a fabric store. Does that help?

Hello, all. On my lunch break. Took tomorrow off so that I can finish up and mail because I will be out of town on Saturday morning when I planned to mail. Off next week. Have to do Christmas presents. I will work on Sherri's blocks the week after Christmas.

Yvonne, lighter shades are almost cream colored aren't they? I have different shades of grey. One looks grey by itself, but has a grey greenish tinge next to some things or in certain lights. Do you want something like that?

Okay, I finished mine! It kept morphing. I am a little disappointed that I can't get a decent picture but I need to get some things done and get to the PO when it opens back up this afternoon. I stay stitched around the edges. I don't want mine joined. I am putting sashing on them and I want to do that myself after they return.
I put in a log cabin block because I live in a log cabin. It is done in 30's repro scraps because that is my favorite fabric. The center is the fabric I am using to sash with. I used a Jacob's ladder because that is my family name and seems appropriate. The spools are from selvages I have saved. They are not perfect, so don't look closely! My Mammaw always said, "It's good enough for who it's for."
I can't wait to see what you all add!

Jane, your quilt blocks arrived today safe and sound! Very nice! Love the 1930's prints! Do have a question ... had planned on doing 5 different blocks but would you prefer I pick just one and do five of the same thing? This is exciting!
