    Default Accu Quilter

I have been thinking about an Accu Quilter cutting system. Does anyone have advice or information on them as what to get and the best place to buy, or is there something else out there that would be better?

I've had my Accu Studio for 3 years and love it. I use it for every quilt I use. I don't even use all my dies I have bought...some are still in plastic. I find myself using the strip dies the most.

I have the "GO" and I love it, it is portable enough to carry around and is a breeze to use. I have a lot of dies (mostly unopened) but I get them on sale. I would go to the Accu Quilt website as they seem to be having specials all the time.

I received the Go! at Xmas and I have bought the strip dies and then I can cut quilt pieces from the strips.

    I bought from :

    http://store.quilting-warehouse.com/...FUdn5Qod6GersQ

    and Nancy's Notions

not affiliated to either just like their prices.

    Good Luck

I have a GO and I really like it. I have block and strip dies and seem to use them more and more. guaranteed that your strips and blocks will be accurate every single time. I got my at a reduced price at a quilt show and just wait for sells for the dies.

I received the Go Baby for Christmas. It was on sale at Nancy's Notions ... or maybe Amazon? I've been making rail fence lap quilts and love the accuracy.

I have the go and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it.. I have most if not all the dies ( No brainer, easy gifts from hubby for all the holidays)

I love that its portable.. I can pull it out, grab some dies off the shelf and GO cutting. Then when Im done, fold it up and put away back on the bookcase.. I suggest you get back up cutting mats as they are, in my opinion, disposable.. I go thru a mat probably once a month or one every other month but I use my GO a lot... and personally $5-$10 for a mat is not unreasonable for me.. I can justify that $ as it saves me time and less fabric waste.. So buy them when you can find them on sale..

If you buy one, careful the first few cuts on each of your dies. Break them in gently.. use less layers until they are broken in and they become easy to crank thru the machine as too many at once will damage your GO..

    My favorite dies are:
    Tumbler
    Brick
Rags - all of them !
    2x2
and ive got the 2.5x2.5 on backorder.. I cannot wait !!

Ive got a few strips but I can rotary sut faster than I can prep the fabrics to go the GO.. its something I havent mastered yet... But other GO users swear by them..

i suggest if you can demo it- you should..

FYI- you going to need a silver sharpie if you buy the GO.. ...

I love mine, I use it all the time, I have talked my friends into them and they love it. I dont think you will be sorry you purchased one. Nancy Notions, and quilt warehouse have the best prices on dies.
I purchased basic dies, I do not applique, so I just got the strips (LOVE LOVE LOVE em) the squares and the tumbler.
    good luck and happy quilting!!!!

    Hello,
I have an Accuquilt Baby go, and wish I could have purchased the studio...but finances, ya know???? I love mine, and dont use it as much as I used to, but it is perfect when teaching my elementary aged girls the basis, and they want to see strips and cute shapes, and besides, it is just plain fun to use!
