I started this and pieced the top in about 2 days, but life got in the way and so did helping dad feed cattle after his surgery and helping ny mom with the generals and also trying to get my garden in, so go this finished last night about 2:30 a.m. Wanted to be able to give it to my mom today.

I had to laugh, though, because I vividly remember her staying up all hours of the night trying to finish a sewing project for what ever. She always seemed to cut it to the limit and I followed in her footsteps, LOL!

This pattern is in Eleanor Burns "Still Strippin" book and is called four sisters.

Whole top - sorry the lighting was bad today!

One block and the quilting (hard to see which is good)

What a beautiful quilt. I bet your mom loves it. My mom did the same thing. Up til all hours to finish something I needed the next day. Moms are the greatest. :-D

Beautiful quilt. Bound to be loved.
Be sure to share with your mom that you are following in her footsteps. She'll love knowing that you remember her working into the wee hours. Moms are like that!

Beautiful quilt. I bet she will absolutely love it. Isn't it amazing how we end up like our parents? It shocks me sometimes when I glance in a mirror and see my mom. and my DILs are always telling me how much like my DH my sons are (not always in a good way   )
