Default My Mom's Mother's Day quilt.....

Last year I wrote that my mom told me that she didn't want a quilt, but I made one for my step-dad to use when he was in the nursing home for rehab therapy, and when he came home, Mom put that quilt on an extra twin-sized bed she has. Mom got a quilt for Mother's Day anyway, and she is thrilled! (But she won't let us get a picture of her.) Guess where the quilt is? That's right, it's on the twin-sized bed....

Thank you Tweety. I forgot to mention that it is on a bed at my house before I gave it to her, and it is a Jacob's Ladder pattern. She made me very proud when she told me that I'd never given her anything that she didn't like....she ALWAYS gives my sister and 2 brothers everything back that they give her. I don't know what I do that is so special, except that I make most everything that I give her. Oh, and I'm the oldest of four, if that matters.

Gorgeous quilt! I've found often that when some one says they don't want something it's because they really don't feel worthy of it and don't want you to bother with it. BUT! When you give it to them they appreciate it SOOO MUCHHH! And when labeled and gratitude are in writing, she knows she "DONE GOOD"!

Debbie, I tend to like in-your-face bright colors but the soft colors you used on your mother's quilt has converted me! You are an inspiration! Thanx for sharing! That is one beautiful quilt! Now see if you can get your mom to use it for every day!

I love the story and your quilt. Your mom will cherish it forever, I am sure. Mothers are funny like that, aren't they?
