I have finished piecing a blooming 9 patch that came out much more tropical than I was expecting! It is all batik fabric. This is my 3rd quilt and I have learned so much on this one about contrast and color as well as practicing my scant 1/4" seams.

Now it is going to my mother for hand quilting when she comes to visit in a couple weeks. She has been a quilter for many years but does not like to pick fabric or piece tops nearly as much as she likes the hand quilting phase. I made 1 top last year that she quilted for my bed and now this one she can quilt and keep.

Oh my goodness! Your third quilt? It's gorgeous. You did a great job with color placement. And of course with the piecing.

Gorgeous quilt, love the fabrics. You rock girl! This is an advanced quilt and you did it as a 3rd quilt. Pat yourself on the back.

That's a beauty. Can't believe it's only your third quilt. I can't imagine what stunners you'll turn out when you're on your 10th!
