Default Dear Jane triangles and 1 corner kite

I got 2 triangles and 1 corner kite done this week. Not sure what I will accomplish this next week, but even getting 1 done is better than none.
The first one is TR 10, and my measurements were a hair off, so for the time being I have left off the last diamond at top. I may still try to get it on this next week, but if I don't, who will know?

The next one is TR 11 and I am a little disappointed in the lack of contrast, but know that I need to use some light colored fabrics, so it is ok, and the fabric is from a baby quilt that I did for a great niece.

The last one is the top left corner, and it wasn't any harder than the other triangles, but I didn't do too well on getting the white triangles big enough around the center dark fabric. But I am happy with it and if not perfect, it is done.

Enjoy looking and hoping to have a couple more this next week. Have a great week.

Great job! I forgot to mention before about how much I like your idea of handquilting as you go along. Makes a lot of sense!

I decided when I started that I needed to do the quilting as I made blocks, because of the enormity of the project. I am not good at FMQ and with so many of the blocks needing to be appliqued, it just made sense. And in case I never finish the whole project, what I have done at that point, only needs to be backed and quilted down the sashings.

I just got my Dear Jane book last week....your quilt as you go is very intriguing, as i do a lot of QAYG on bigger projects.....i will have to ponder this some more to see how this might work for me. Thank you so much for sharing the idea and photos !!!
