Default Examples of Izy's Freezer Paper applique :D

Following on from my freezer tutoria , I thought you may like to see a collection of difference shaped, appliques I have done in the past using this method. You really can do any shape or size!

You're welcome Linda, I tend to use a steam a seam for all the little details and freezer paper for the larger areas, depending how lazy I am feeling

Wow! What stunning beauties! May I ask if you used freezer paper for the blue waves in your quilt (5th pic down)? I know that it is difficult to piece waves like that but your look absolutely perfect!!

Yes BizzieLizzie, I cut a strip of freezer paper as long as the side of the quilt, hand sketched the wave pattern, trimmed the freezer paper, ironed to a dark blue strip of fabric, pinned to the lighter blue, top stitched, then cut the excess light blue fabric away, simple! The corners were the issue, I lay all four freezer paper borders together and overlapped them, but didn't quit get as good a match as I was hoping...hence the big fish to hide the join LOL!

Thanks for the compliments, just hope to help others enjoy applique without the stress!
