    Default Guest Book Quilt

A former neighbor's daughter is getting married next month. She was looking at Pinterest a while back and saw the idea for this quilt. Instead of having guests sign a guest book, they wanted to have their guests sign a quilt, instead, and asked me to make it. She picked fabrics to match her wedding colors and showed me a similar picture to the one she had seen. Thanks for looking!

I have also done this and feel that it is an excellent idea. After all, the guest book is infrequently seen again, but a quilt is used. Many kinds of signature quilts are a long standing tradition. Recently, I completed a quilt for a 19 year old cancer victim. His cousin took it around for signatures and well wishes. (He has been told his treatment probably "got" all of the cancer.)

I did a similar idea for my son's high school graduation party. I put a quilt on a table, like a table cloth, and permanent marker pens on it. The guests wrote well wishes, advice, etc. and signed their names. I used plain colors and it looked like an Amish style type of quilt.
