what a thoughtful gift. wow. I bet you will have fun. I'm taking a break from quilting for a while, save up for car and perhaps a few notions myself.

How sweet this is!! QB is how I met my two closest friends...one lives 20 miles and other about 2 1/2 hours away!
We are always getting things brought/exchange with each other. Have fun with your new stash!

I want to respond at what a truly sweet, kind and intelligent woman Kate is. She offered to meet up with us when I said here on the board that we would be in Scotland. We had such a good time with them, just a few hours and I feel like I have known her for a long time. Ever have that happen? To be able to have her allow me to share a wee bit of my stash :-) makes me feel so good. There is another box that will be sent in March, it makes my heart soar to go through my things and find bits and bobs to share. The pictures of her quilts that she showed me were absolutely gorgeous. She is talented, clever and I am so happy to have a new friend.

What a gift. Do you have to pay an import fee when you receive material like that? Quilters on this board are amazing.

awwww, can you feel the heat from my blush all the way over there? You should!! lol

Thank you, and the feeling is mutual....

Also, the photos of Sandra's beautifully appliquéd quilts have inspired me to make my new year's resolution to complete something in appliqué myself next year - something i have a bit of a mental block about.... Kate's 2016 challenge - watch this space!!

Hi there, yes it turned out there was a charge for customs import tax - it worked out at 1/8th of the declared value of the parcel. The fee had to be paid online by the recipient before the parcel was released from customs. Sandra, the wee darling, reimbursed me the cost via an amazon voucher :-).

    Cheers, K
