Monte Carlos are nice cars. I think red really makes a car stand out!
I wasn't sure what color mine was going to be. I just know I didn't want silver if it could be helped. Black was Ok for the Magnum, but I didn't really want it on the Charger. I didn't really want white, but if it had to be, I was gonna put some flames or something on it to dress it up a bit. We really liked the look of the Inferno Red ones. If it were to be a Charger, I really, really liked the purple, with yellow, lime, and orange coming in at a tie for a close second. All those colors were only available with the Daytona package, which was even more money. I liked the red charger, too. or blue.... color wasn't really too big of a deal bc I liked them all, really. I have never seen this color my Magnum is, but I like it!

Especially when my sister's in the passenger seat and we bring the two Standard Poodles. It's much nicer when my Dad takes us in his van.

I am mostly content with my Geo. I actually have transportation, it runs well and gets me around!
I had a little red Geo Storm once. It was a go-getter. I think GEO's will run forever! I don't remember what year mine was, but I think like a 93? It had bucket seats in the back, and if you went over the slightest little bump or hump, heads were hitting the back glass! Seriously! I'm about 5' 2.25" and my head hit! And that was with my knees shoved into the back of the seat in front of me! I didn't have kids at the time, just my little 7 pound doggie that rode shotgun. It was a 5 speed and would RUN!

    Thanks.
I think those cars should be getting close to a reality. They come with everything else these days.

I think everyone really thought things were going to be like on the Jetson's by the year 2000! I used to be scared of that when I was a kid!

Some SUV's aren't too bad. SOmething you would definatley look at before purchasing, though. My Durango got 23 mpg on our trip to the beach, and that was with sitting in traffic for over an hour....but, normally, it was doing better and better. It was getting around 18-20 at the end...(which I know isn't the best, no where near what your Saturn gets, I'm sure.)
I have a 1974 VW super beetle in the garage...they get around 40!

I'm with you, Live2Teach...I LOVE my SUV and don't ever want it to wear out! It's a Jeep Cherokee Grand that I've had for 12 years. Still looks
"stylin" and is so easy to load and unload groceries OR FABRIC  out the hatchback! Don't think I'll ever be without an SUV. :P

Yes, some SUV's can be very harsh on the wallet. LOl. When we trying to find my Jeep, I swear it took forever. After having a car for years, I knew that the gas mileage, was obviously, going to be worse but I didn't care. I wanted my Jeep and that was that. LOL. When we first got it, around town it was getting 12 miles per gallon...YIKES>I didn't know it was going to be that bad. Then on the highway it got 14-16. But then, when we took it to Tennessee, it got 23 miles per gallon and we have had excellent gas mileage since. Now, around town it gets between 16 and 18 and on the highway it gets around 20. We wen to Pittsburgh yesterday, in ALOT of traffic and stopping and...well you know how the city is...it was 10 times worse being labor day weekend,LOL and it still got 23 miles per gallon. I absolutely love my Jeep. (It's a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo Limited, the color is Inferno Red). I'll post a picture soon, just as soon as it gets washed. LOL.

I have a Jeep Wrangler (my 2nd) and I love it. Can't imagine going back to a car.

So nice to read about all the quilters who have love affairs with their cars. I have had my Alfa Romeo spider convertible since 1991. "He" helped get me through the rough times in my life so I'm really attached to him!

We have a red Cavalier too, Patrice. My husband had to redo the whole cooling system because it ran too hot. Do you have that problem too? He read that they stopped making them because of that poor design problem.

My dream car was the Infiniti G35 Sport Coupe til I found out they only get about 13 mpg.

I am stuck with my 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan til I get rich. At least it gets 19 mpg.
