What a wonderful gift from your husband! I don't know how you could ever think to part with it. I just cannot imagine my husband going to a fabric store on his own and picking something out for me. A gift certificate yeah, but to pick out an actual piece of material? No way. You need to keep that and finish it, girl. You won't be sorry, and neither will your husband every time he sees it.

Could you finish it with a border you like & hang in a bedroom, hallway or sewing room, where you can see & remember his wonderful gift? Keep it to match your keeper LOL

First, I am so glad to hear you are feeling better.

I agree, the heck with matching anything in your home. Keep It, Frame it and hang it where everyone coming to your home will see it. What a loving, thoughtful thing for him to give you.
