Default My Happy Quilt (jewel box with dresden)

I just finished this one, that my husband named "Happy Quilt" as soon as he saw it! The dresden in the middle was left over from an earlier project (I had done some dresdens in several different fabrics, and this one didn't make the cut for THAT quilt.) And I had a bunch of small pieces of various solids that had been given to me. So I came up with this jewel box design.

I wanted to try doing the dense right-angle quilting in the corners, after seeing it in a jewel box that Snooze2978 posted a while back (http://www.quiltingboard.com/members/qb-quilt-gallery-u36607-albums18009-539856.html) I also tried out a couple of other new-to-me quilting designs.

Thanks for looking!

GREAT quilting! I especially love your use of motifs in the border. And way cool the way the double swirl in the color blocks creative a special motif when they are put together.

A fun, happy quilt! Great ziggy fabric in the dresden, and nice jewel blocks. Fantastic quilting too!
