I am trying to make a mocking bird by using my scraps. Tell me what can I do to make it better,

I would put a defined wing on the bird and tilt it up in front

I think there is too much white showing under the tail...I would make his bill with more shape and extending back into the head more. I agree about the wing.... Look at pictures of mockingbirds to help you get the shape right...jmho

you might check the site www.silverliningsoriginals.com for bird patterns. they are Paper Pieced. just for more ideas.
