I've received several request for the pattern I used to make my quilt, so I'm posting the response that I sent out earlier. Thanks for your comments.

I'm sorry I should have shared this in the post. I did a search for Carpenters Star and found several but decided on this one. Had to really concentrate on using which colors together. None of them used multiple colors together they were just two or four colors. As you can see I used a lot of different shades of purple.

See if you can find the pattern called "Fractions", it works up very well in purples and whites and creams. Super simple pattern that easily adjusts to whatever size you wish to make. I have used it multiple times for all my GK's and GGK's. They all love them. Most are Queen Size, but there are a couple of doubles and one King. None too over a weekend to piece
