It's hard to say. They look great on their own but a little sashing could make each star pop.

I think I like the idea of different colors of sashing; would frame each star and give it individuality.

Both ways would look nice. Have you considered maybe making blocks the same size as your star blocks with fabrics used in your stars and alternating them in your quilt. Then quilting the same star pattern into the fabric blocks.

They are beautiful blocks! I'd probably think no sashing, but if you laid it out so we could see how it looked with a piece of fabric between the blocks, we could give you a better opinion. The blocks are beautiful either way!

I would probably sash it with 2 1/2 inch squares of all the fabrics used in the stars or either frame the blocks with 1 1/2 inch strips of the fabrics used for the stars and then sash with 1 1/2 inch white strips. Defnitely need to audition, I'm sure it will be great whatever you decide. The stars are beautiful, thanks for sharing.

I would vote for no sashing. The stars are busy with all the different fabrics, but really stand out on the white fabric. I think sashing might detract from their uniqueness.

Those squares are beautiful, great way to ue scraps. Would you be willing to share the name and source of the pattern?

I have 7 blocks done 5 to go. When I set it on point it will be a strip and a smaller star will be at the corners where they meet, so there will be 13 small stars.
