The reason you need excuses to buy or not to buy is because you have stashes. I have ZERO "stash". My two closets full, two bookshelves full, and 14 drawers full of fabric are a "Collection". Collections don't have to be used, they can be, but they also need to be added to periodically to stay fresh and interesting. No excuses needed!

Oh this is home sweet home! When I get the urge to buy or cry I come here and I don't buy and I don't cry I laugh. You are a funny group that mix and mingle here, oh ..I'm here too. What a good deal for me!
I've been going through patterns, now that's moratorium I really ought to be a member of immediately. The individual patterns start at $10 and I have ......a lot. Quilting magazines are another issue (ha). I've stopped taking all but one. I have ....many. And I've also been getting the MSQC Block. Today I've been looking at Accuquilt Dies I have quite a few of those too. But I don't have any of the embroidery software that is available for a lot of the dies (hummm). And get this (what am I thinking) I just printed off an itinerary for a tour with Bonnie Hunter to Tuscany in May 2015. I also inquired about the payment plan, gave them my email address. Is there a need to spend or a need to craft or a need to accumulate or just a need? Maybe it's just a need to buy fabric, it's like trying to replace chocolate...can't be done.

The man went to visit family for his mother's birthday and brought me back some interesting things. The fabric shop in the town near his brother & sister in law's house was apparently getting rid of the little cardboard things with samples of each fabric in a group, which you then use to pick what you'd like to order. I ended up with several of these, which will likely end up as materials for runners or mug rugs. I think my favorite one is the Dr. Seuss fabric! I didn't buy it. It appeared at my house without request or invitation, so it doesn't count!
I am going to Helen, GA this weekend with friends to stay in a cabin. I have no idea how "in town" the cabin is, but Southern Comfort Quilts is on Main Street. If we leave the cabin, I may have to duck in and check it out! With new stresses at work, and the possibility being revealed to me yesterday that I may not only be changing positions at work, but also moving to a different division of the company, this weekend couldn't have come at a more perfect time. I hope to get back in my sewing room next week and do something besides repairing holes in my son's work pants. I'm going to have to have something to even out the stress if this move comes through!

Dustys: I love it when the significant other supports addictions! Yep, guilt free. Am I the only one that's noticed how similar guilt and quilt are? Congrats on the career move. I always felt that it was better to be stressed and/or challenged at work than to die of boredom. Rhonda, OK you are both bad, but I better be nice since I think there is a spectacular fall off the wagon in my near future.
