barbellen I love those blocks. So adorable. The piecing/applique is beautiful.

Lovely blocks BarbEllen!

@Ranger: Thank you. Yes those are dreadful (for me anyway) drunkard's path blocks. Thank goodness my mom loves doing them otherwise this would have been a "no go". I plan to hang it next March. :)

I really like your month blocks. Are they made with heat 'n bond or something similar?

Ok, list for May is:
Log Cabin 30s quilt
Basket 30s quilt
DD RR Quilt
green/white mock durnkards path
leaf maple block swap quilt
churn dash scrap quilt
applique quilt finished quilted
lace bags
purse
Maybe Christmas block swap but not sure if ready to mentally work on that one. There is a pine burr quilt I started and is sitting there in a tub all by itself asking to be done. Only been on that one for 1.5 years, got bored with the small intricate pieces, but should be done, takes up a whole tub. Or the robbing peter pay paul r/b/w I started, or the baby quilt that is still there or......... ok, whatever I am in the mood for by the end of the month right?

I actually have three empty drawers in my desk now so can move the important stuff into it and be used like it should be. My scrap piles are getting bigger, but those are for next year when I just want to enjoy the results of all my work this year. By then I will be so broke from buying the fabric to finish up these UFOs (backs) that I will only be able to play with scraps.

I started this quilt in 2010 and got tired of getting up and down up and down. It is a paper piecing Venice Rose using freezer paper. All the fabric is cut and numbered - all I need to do is sew, tack and cut over and over again. I started working on it today, the first spoke took me 2 hours, the second only an hour. I shall get it done. Posted is the first 1/4 of the spokes that I completed before I stopped for over a year. I will post again when it is a full circle sewed together.

Quilter Momma, scraps are good! And you are so creative that I'm sure you'll still have fun. Plus, all your finishes are fabulous. I am enjoying seeing them. I do hope that your not overdoing it. You need to heal from your surgery.

These are recent UFO's...Moosequilts Fat Quarter Stars Q.A. started 8/11 & blocks finished 3/12--went ahead & got them quilted & bound so they didn't become old UFO's. I put them both together differently. The tonal (birds) one is 56"x64". I only used 9 of the 12 blocks for the batik quilt & because of the way I put it together it turned out to measure 60"x60". The other 3 blocks I used to make the tablerunner. I'm slowly but surely plugging away at UFO's on my list of about 30 I hoped to get done this year. I have more in a couple bins, but they will probably be on next year's list! :)

Wow VickiM, I loveeeeeee your stars, all 3 items are wonderful!! Well done. QuilterMomma, I'm eager to see what a mock Drunkard's Path is, as well as to see your Churn Dash scrappy. Churn Dash is one of my favorite patterns.
