Does anyone have a really good bread pudding recipe they would like to share? I have tried many but still have not found the perfect recipe yet.

Here's my favorite. I love custardy bread pudding and this is light. Give it a try.

    Here's Joani2s (I can't open Ellageo's either)

    Overnight Bread Pudding

½ loaf of thick slices of bread, cut into 9 pieces. (I use Texas style bread.)
3 cups milk 2 Tbsp. sugar
Liberal nutmeg & cinnamon 6 large eggs
1 Tbsp. vanilla extract 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine

Grease 9x13 baking dish. Arrange bread in a single layer in the greased
pan, squeeze slices to fit. In a large bowl whisk milk, eggs, sugar and vanilla
until blended. Pour evenly over bread. Sprinkle cinnamon & nutmeg over top.
    Cover and refrigerate overnight.

To serve. Heat oven to 350. Uncover baking dish. Dot top with butter or
margarine and bake 45 minutes or until set and light golden brown.

I was able to download, and retyped, so here it is:

    BREAD PUDDING WITH LEMON SAUCE

4 Cups hamburger buns – NOT FRESH
    1 Cup sugar
    2 Cups whole milk
    ½ stick butter or margarine
¼ Cup raisins or dried cranberries
    1 teaspoon Vanilla
    2 Beaten eggs

Crumble bread in mixing bowl. Add milk, let sit until bread is soft. Add sugar, melted margarine or butter, and eggs. Mix well.

Add raisins or cranberries and fold in. DOT NOT STIR
Butter a 9” baking glass dish. Pour mixture into the dish and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until top is brown.

TIP: Milk MUST be whole milk or canned milk. Otherwise, pudding will fall after removing from the oven. Old biscuits cause pudding to be heavy, loaf bread tends to be too thin.

    LEMON SAUCE:
    In a saucepan combine:
    1/3 Cup sugar
    2 ½ teaspoon cornstarch
Add ½ cup water, ¼ cup Real Lemon juice, and one egg yolk. Mix well.
Over medium heat, cook and stir until thick. Remove, stir in 1 Tablespoon butter or margarine until melted.

Use for topping on bread pudding
