Sounds like an interesting combo ... cabbage and noodles?
|
Maybe this is it. If not, it's a tasty recipe anyway!
Halushki You will need a very large skillet… 1 large head of cabbage, shredded 1 large onion, chopped (more if you really like onions…I do!) 1 pound fatty bacon 1 pound egg noodles salt and pepper to taste Cook egg noodles as directed on package. Drain. Meanwhile, cut bacon into small pieces and fry until crisp. Remove from skillet and remove part of the bacon fat (reserving at least two tablespoons) and add copped onion. Fry until tender. Add shredded cabbage and cook until cabbage is tender. Add cooked egg noodles. Mix thoroughly. Enjoy! |

Another good recipe is cabbage (well cooked) mashed into potatoes w/s&P and butter. I think it is Irish. A little garlic is good too.
