For 16.50 per yard I will find something else to love and that will be easy because I love most all of it.

I too live where cotton is grown, as a matter of fact right behind out fence in a huge cotton field, I don't smell anything unusual at any time during the growing or reaping so not sure what the farmer uses as far as keeping the bugs out. That's why I have chosen to use Hobbs batting, it's grown right here in my wonderful state of TEXAS!

I refuse to pay that much a yard. This is PC gone nuts. And we are being pulled into the black hole! I support the environment but I want to be able to afford to buy my gas, heat my house and if I want to use plastic bags!

That is way out of line, no matter how gorgeous it may be. I cringe at $10.50 a yard, but if I can fit it in my budget and I absolutely love it then I'll do it; but no way at over $16.

When I think of my grandmother quilting, I laughed at that material price. All her quilts were made from handmedown clothes from the family, coats, blankets, etc. If she wanted fancy material for an added touch, she went to rummage sales. All of her six children and 20 grandchildren had quilts made this way, from her. She would think this was such a waste of money. Would never be in my stash either, main reason being, the quilt would be so pricey, I'd never even put it on a bed.

First of all I don't buy anything organic.
Second of all I would never pay that much for any fabric.
Third of all I have enough fabrics to last several lifetimes.

$16.50yd would be CHEAP in Australia. You guys really don't appreciate how good you've got it. Seriously, stop complaining.
