I just tried resizing a design with the instructions Mermaid sent and I did it. Hallajah!! Miracles never cease. Now to try it on my emb machine. The design is a little squished but nobody but me would notice it. I'll also check out Sophie Sews program.

I would love to find a software package that is reasonably priced. I would like to learn to digitize. Don't know a lot about it all. Need something easy to work with and learn. I have a viking diamond. Their software is way too expensive. Any suggestions? Thanks for starting this thread.

Try Hatch by Wilcom. I tried a free 30 day trial program. https://www.wilcom.com/Hatch.aspx I think it's only $149 but I'm not sure you can digitize with it. It does have other modules that can be added to upgrade to the full program. My Editor is a free program from Wings Ltd. You can do limited editing with it. I've heard some people use it to digitize but I haven't tried to. http://www.wingsxp.com/index.php/my_editor/ A lot of people use Embrilliance but I haven't tried it. Good luck.

Scroll back up and copy the "sophiesews" address. It is digitizing software--it is free with no time limit--it has teaching videos. This will help you decide if you really like digitizing your own designs.
