I never got a chance to start the other project. The hubby decided it was more important that I go grocery shopping so we could eat. lol

I layed out my diamonds yesterday and determined that I need at least 5 more diamond blocks. Hoping do do at least one today. They are EPP 1 inch hexagons in the diamond shape rather than GFG, (which I have done 2 of) and are a bit slow going. If I can do one a day, I call it a good day. Then I need to do several half diamonds.
It sounds like you all are so very busy doing wonderful things, and if I can keep from checking back here to see what you are all doing, I may be able to get my goal done!

I got all pieces to my Kingsize Walkabout quilt cut out. That was my first goal. I thought then that I'd make a bag because I really can't start the KS for 2 more weeks due to company coming. Instead I dug through my stash and came up with 10 sets of 2 each coordinating fat quarters and cut out a Turning 20 for my BIL & SIL, and got 1/2 of them sewed. It is such a fast quilt to make and it's one on my to-do list so today was the perfect opportunity to get started on it.
It looks like everyone had a productive day! I'll look forward to the next one. By that time I should be well along on the KS Walkabout.

Hi all, I have the binding ready for the hand work .. It is a king size bed runner (it did not seem that long when I pieced it) also made the label. Getting dark so calling it a day. Thanks again for the challenge -- I made progress

Wow! Wow! Wow! I love these days and seeing everyone's projects and progress.
It's been 9 hours since I checked in this morning - where did the time go???
Hmmm - I started closer to noon, couple of phone calls, lunch, dinner, had to figure out how to make a 6" twister template.
Not done sewing yet, but winding down. Will finish sewing the rows on the twister center tonight and add a border tomorrow. This one started with assorted 8" squares. I'm thinking this one might need a gecko or frog appliqued on it. The 2nd picture is closest to the real colors.

Today was a day I would have done nothing had it not been for VQD. As it was, I did 2/3 of the embroidery on the heart block I was making and sewed the companion block which is a red and white "Puss in The Corner" block. Thanks for giving me the incentive to get something accomplished.

My last post today. I finished BOTH my tops. Thank you so much for the inspiration. This was 12 hours of sewing (almost to the minute) with a break for lunch and dinner. But I never would have achieved so much without the encouragement - I would have bailed early in the day.
Here is my "ugly fabric" quilt. Lots of little tiny (1") triangles cut from the uglies I received in the guild exchange. My intention was for it to look like the triangles were falling from the top, and collecting in the stars. The multi-colour in the lower right was supposed to be 3 of the colours mixing together. Not sure the effect came through, but there is no fabric left to try again, so this is the final quilt.
Now to figure out borders (one thought is shown in the second pic - comments welcome. I would put a wider border of the background fabric outside the pieced border).

Newbie finished cutting...(and I didn't have a panic attack, either- whoo hoo!)
Oh, shoot, no I didn't finish...well, all I have left is to cut up some 3" green strips into 3x3s for my Chicken Quilt. I'm off again tomorrow, so I'll get it done.
