Not sure, but... I am thinking crosshatch on the red border, sitd yellow border, outline the stars, and feathers in the neutral rectangles and setting triangles. I keep looking at the 4 patches between the stars and want to treat them as one unit. That leaves the center squares and the areas surrounding those squares - no ideas there yet.

Has everyone copied the clue to your own devices.....about 40 minutes and the clues will no longer be available until published in a book (6 to 18 months)

Love your version of the quilt Vagabond. The green fabric is a beautiful touch.

    Here's my progress. I'm a bit of a slow poke but I'm plugging away - - -

Of course, I'll do some rearranging of the blocks and will definitely be using some brighter yellows.

There is still time to sign up for the February FQ Swap. Reds, Pinks & Whites. Come play with us!!

Jane, I love it that you went scrappy. After traveling to NY for a few days for work, I needed to bond with my sewing machine so I finally assembled 7 (of 30) star blocks from my pile of 30 gold 4-1/2" squares... only 27 more to go plus 20 red. I'll just keep plugging along. : )

I love those blocks and fabrics, jclinganrey. Can't wait to see the whole quilt done in those pretty fabrics.
