Macybaby, very vibrant center and I agree, it gives lots of color choices.

Carrie, no problem on the tracking, Monday is fine. We came back Saturday and I expected to have multiple packages hanging on the gate to our drive way. Usually, when the gate is closed, UPS and Fedx hang packages in plastic bags. But nope... everything went to the post office for a hold. So Monday will a be a good surprise day.

Default My center is ready to mail

Hi all! I'm attaching a photo of my center, I finished it last night after going to JoAnn and picking up a bunch of fabric to send and washing it. Now I'm ready to mail. I'll post two of my other past round robins to show off. Hugs all! Reba

    Default Anything goes round robin

Here is one past RR. The inspiration is the border fabric. I did something kind of fancy for my center, pieced roses in a round pieced center. I drafted this with literally calculating the angles on paper, then specialty cutting the background wedges to make it into a circular pattern. There were 5 in the group, one did the side baskets, one did the applique on the top of the roses, one did the bottom baskets, one did the 9 patch with the fussy cut hats, and the last was the border of the inspiration fabric. I love this throw, I use it all the time. The gal who did the final border added touches like the buttons in the bottom baskets. Hope you enjoy the photos! Reba

Default second past row by row rr

You asked for one more pic, this is memories of New Hampshire RR, my uncle lives there and I have wonderful memories of the state, including Keepsake Quilting's store ;-). I started the rows with "live free or die" state motto, then the NH Mount Blue was added, then the white birch (she is so gifted, you can see the white bark on her threadwork for the trees), then the lilacs (again, so gifted, she made the lilacs with tiny fused flower petals, she rolled the fabric upwards for a 3-d effect and attached them with tiny gold seed beads), then the outside border. I asked for a purple, blue and yellow color scheme. I love this RR.

FYI Bonnie I am officially in love with your center block and extremely inspired. I ordered more background fabric for your center yesterday and one of those charm pack wheels in a rainbow ombre so I can do my border, so I won't actually be able to start my border until next weekend, but I think I can make the 15th for a mail out next month I knew I would be using up a lot of the background fabric for my first border (I am specialty paper piecing) so I didn't want to leave the next person lacking It will look good! I'm so excited

I will be including a notebook with my center for everyone to add a little note about themselves, their inspiration for their border, maybe a photo, as a keepsake for myself. I picked it up at JoAnn for $2 in the clearance bin. I'm working on my notebook today to mail out with the center and the additional fabrics (to use or not use, that is the question LOL) Hugs all!

Rebaquilts--those are some great RR quilts...thanks for sharing, especially the stories behind them. Your center is beautiful. I like the lighter colors.

I too included a small notebook with my quilt. I love the idea of a picture (maybe of you holding the quilt?)...I can print if you want to email directly to me and add when the quilt top returns home. I went back and forth on how much fabric to send along, I decided just the remainder of the floral fabric I had, that will give you all in group #2 more options for choosing your own.

Have a blessed Sunday. I am going on about 5hrs of sleep so thinking a nap will be happening this afternoon!

Jaba - I received your center. And with all my blues I will be visiting the Quilt stores this week! (like that is a problem!)

Sorry I had to give you an excuse Tell hubby it's all my fault! Those blues all came from a fat quarter bundle from Connecting Threads, except the batik, so I thought they would be easy to match. So much for my thinking.....

Love your feathery star center, Reba! I'll be the last to work on it.

Love seeing the previous RR quilts. Thanks for the pictures, Reba.

I've been playing with ideas for Givio's border. Lots of possibilities but they all seem so 'ho hum...' So I will keep thinking until something special jumps out at me.
