Barbara Bachmann doesn’t name it. It something like block 3151. I call it a split half square triangle. Or it could be called a half quarter square triangle. Or anything else you like, SBG.

Those are both good names! I like half quarter square triangle.

Thanks for the input from everyone. I would like to see the alternate block better and diminish the purple. I thought I was making a turquoise quilt with purple accents. LOL Tomorrow my sewing group is doing a day retreat so I will experiment. It has occurred to me that I might see the the secondary better if I actually sew them in.

After the last two days sewing and ripping - I'm tempted to call this "I survived Ringo Lake"

I got carried away playing with the left over blocks and extra already cut pieces to see what I could use up. Lots of trial and error (and more errors). At least with fabric you can rip and resew, unlike woodworking projects.

Goodness, Cathy, you have been busy! I love all of your On Ringo Lakes, I can't decide which I like more! They have all got different twists and sparkle. You have done great!!

I know I said I'll be slowing down sewing, but my daughters kindly timed their naps at the same time , which is very rare! and I got three more blocks made...yay!
