LOL Lesley we had to literally move everything out of the house 10 yrs ago because we had weather damage inside and my uncle's construction crew came in and pulled all the walls apart back to the studs and redid everything. We had a huge van at the time that had been a Church van ( they went around and picked people up for church). As I am very spacial oriented I am good at packing. I see everything in geometrics so I pack boxes or suitcases with every inch used. I packed our whole household into the van. The only things I couldn't move were our large furniture which we moved into one corner and covered. We lived this way for 4 months while they worked on our house around us! they redid all the drywall in the whole place and built walls (this was my dad's automotive shop so originally no walls inside) and they built a large bathroom. replaced all the doors.

So I can do it if I have to!!

I have a friend who lives in a tiny apt. in a 140 yr old house. No closets. She quilts. Guess where her huge stash is? Reds are under sons mattress, blues & greens under sis's mattress and the rest are under her mattress. Now she has Purchased those shoe things that slide under the beds they hold FQ's and thread etc. She made adorable hassocks out of heavy cardboard boxes, covered with fabric, pillow on top. Open uP and there are her magazines and books. A rolling cart with her sewing machine stores under her kitchen table. She makes huge quilts for architectural firms for lobbies of big new buildings to support herself and 3 kids. She does quite well.
