Sue has been busy quilting in her little shop (she is so happy that her great grandmother, Marsye taught her how to quilt when she was 5 years old.

Sue just loves looking at this photo of Marsye quilting that now hangs in her shop

This is a picture of Marsye with the first quilt that she taught little Sue how to make. What an heirloom!

Sue's husband felt they weren't bringin' in enough gold to make a good living, even with Sue's teaching and quilting so he started peddlin'. He sold grain from their small field and traded skins from his trappin's.

Sue sold a quilt to a lady and as a thank you note the lady gave her these old christmas ornaments dated 1902 that was from her great grandmother. What a treasure!

So now Sue is going to start making these with her scraps!

***Wouldn't these be cool to make for our Christmas Trees now and put a hanger on them for the year built.****

Then, one day when she took the kids down to the water, they were walkin' and as they turned a bend they came upon this old shipwreck. Sue and the kids took a chance and climbed aboard to search it to see what was left of value, and lo and behold!!! Just a ton of the most beautiful quilting fabrics she had ever seen in her life, preserved well in an old trunk. Between the 3 of them they grabbed what they could and took them home to start a new batch of quilts.
