Sounds great, and I'm sure your DGG's friends will love it.

You could fill the cup with tea cookies or butter mints for the "ladies".

Would be nice if you could find some "Garden Party" hats! And lacey little gloves!

I hope she sends me pictures. I am also going to send Mom & Gma their own mug rugs and napkins.

Pinterest is so chock full of simple, inexpensive decorating ideas. You could have the space all fru-frued up for practically nothing.
I know I kept things that ppl made for years. I love your ideas and hope to hear how it went later...maybe a few
pics, even if not of the kids. (some do, some don't)
Love to see how the decorating etc. went!
I'm a kind of shabby chic kind of gal. Lots of lace and paper hanging Fairy balls, doilies, artificial flowers or wildflowers. Fabric bows and/or table covers...pink and white glittered balloons maybe...anything, feminine, super girly, lacy and prissy to a fault...that's the way I would do it up!
You can accomplish those things with thrift store finds. It doesn't have to be matchy-matchy, just pretty!

Oh, I just had one more idea that everybody loves!
If anyone has a polaroid camera, you could take a picture of each child and let her have it, all dolled up
and in her "tea best"...they'll be so proud to take them home

I have passed along the suggestions to the Gma (my friend) but I guess most of the party plans are already made. I am just sending a gift. They live half way across the country from me. Gma is taking care of the tea party part and Mom is doing the swim party and some of the over night things. My understanding is that they have the HOA party room/pool reserved for the the day the party starts then they will go back to the Mom's house for the sleep over. I guess this "party" is lasting from 10AM one day till 10 ish the next morning. The only way I knew about this was because Gma called me for recipes for tea party sandwich ideas. Mom & SIL are doing the planning and supervising the girls.
