Is this a stupid idea or could it work???
I have a friend that has a soon to be 6 year old granddaughter. The DGG is having her first sleep over birthday party with 6 guests. I have been thinking about making each of the girls a mini mug rug and cup party favor. Part of the party is going to be having a tea party with dress up hats and junk jewelry. What do you think?

I used to have a craft/flower shop.We made a room in the shop just for little girls tea parties. They love to drink out of fancy tea cups. We used the old glass snack trays. You can find them at most thrift shops for very little.
The birthday girl got to choose a tea pot to serve the tea. We always served a flavored tea but had kool-aid for those who did not want tea. A place card for each girl. Linen table clothes and napkins, silver serving trays and flowers on the table. They loved it. Most have never used a cloth napkin or knew many table manners such as "yes please". We tried to make it fun but a learning session also. Don't forget the make up. After they got dressed up they got made up by an adult. Good memories. judy j

That is a terrific idea the girls will love it..I just had a tea party bridal shower, we used cups and sauces from thrift stores and garage sales. The ladies chose thier own cups to use and then they took them home as a parting gift, it was a huge hit.
