Wow... they aren't cheap! Just a reminder: never drop your scissors. Take care never to let them hit the floor. This will misalign the blades and they won't ever be the same.

I have used Ginger scissors for decades... many pairs!... and love them. They are all metal. I love the weight of the scissors in my hand.

Are the Kai lightweight like Fiskars?

I have had the Kai Rotary Cutters for years and love them as the blade retracts as soon as you lift it!

I do scissors like I do rotary blades, dull cutting and they are tossed. When I have had them sharpened they always are messed up so I don't bother. I have many different brand of scissors. I like the serrated blades the best. I bought package of Kai scissors assortment at Hancocks Fabrics a long time ago. I never heard of that brand before but I liked the blue and purple color metal handles. They are still sharp and have been used to cut fabric, paper, card stock, ribbons and trim.

I got a pair of left handed at Hancock’s last year at a jobber demo. Never again, it was a waste of money for left handed.

The Kai rotary blade is to die for. It stays sharper than any other - and I have them all.

I just bought the embroidery scissors, bringing my collection to 4.

I too have Karen Kay Buckley's Perfect scissors, the small green handled ones, the medium blue handles one and the large purple handled ones and they are simply "Perfect". They cut to the tip and easily through several layers of fabric. They are the BEST and most used scissors in my sewing room. The green ones are great for detailed applique work. Check out her website www.karenkaybuckley.com. I also love her blog!!

Just FYI....Kai also makes kitchen knives. They are the best I've ever owned - and....they come in bright colors. Not too spendy either. I bought a set for both my daughters at Costco.

My fiskers are thrown out. they had to many spots that were dull, and that was when they were new. I'm now a MUNDIAL scissor owner. they are serrated very fine and great cutters

I have told people that Kai scissors are only for people who never want to shop for scissors again! I absolutely love mine! The salesmen where I got mine were not pushy, let me try out all the different kinds, and mine are great. I have given away most of my old Wiss and Gingher which I used to love!
