I "had" two such sisters. How lucky you are to still have them to appreciate you and your quilts. Great story.

One of my grandsons had a boat quilt that I had made for him when he was very young. When he was about 30 he came to me and told me he still puts it on his bed all the time but he has to be very careful when he pulls it up to cover himself as he can hear the threads breaking! Did he get a new one? YES! I knew how appreciated it was.

That is an awesome story.. Helps us to keep in mind that Beauty is in the eye of the Beholder. She probably loves it not only for it's colors but because you made it and that is what makes it special.
