Wonderful story. This would cause me to want to make them a quilt that is truly smashing.

It's so nice to hear some stories with happy endings! There truly are grateful recipients out there. Thanks for sharing this story.

I couldn't agree more! Let us all have greater "vision" for the gifts we have been given.

What a great sister you have!!! I have a quilt that my great aunt made in her last years that the quilting is very uneven with the long and short stitches. It was one of the last quilts she made before she lost her eyesight and it is one of my most treasure quilts. I don't see the imperfections, all I see is the love in every stitch.

Shame that others don't always get this reaction. You are one lucky lady to have such a wonderful sister. I don't have a sister, but really wish I did.

What a sweet story. I am sure the quilt isn't as bad as you think. We are always our worst critic.

How wonderful to have a piece of work bestowed a place of honor! At least now you know who appreciates you, more than you knew. Your beautiful sister and BIL saw no shortcomings only perfect imperfections and a lot of work. Congrats!
