Love the packages coming through. I am in the need of some angels, I knew this swap was going to be bad when I was in the Hospital and the internet kept dropping off. Anyone who would like to be an angel please send me a pm. Thanks Lori

Lori - please don't stress over this. The last thing you need is a relapse. The fact that you still managed to continue this swap during your illness and subsequent hospital stay is a wonder.

This is the time of year when we need to remember the old adage, 'It's better to give than to receive'. If you've missed my name, then I'm truly not bothered - it really is the taking part that counts. I know others will feel the same.

The important thing is that you keep well.

Boy have I been a slacker this week in getting the pictures of my
SP box goodies posted so without waiting anymore here they are.

My SP goodies came from grammyj (Janice) and I love EVERYTHING!!

Janice,
Just so I DON'T forget to tell you at the end I am doing so now. The
furkids LOVED their treats, they have almost wiped out the package
and now "The Dude" (aka Gizmo) sitting on my laptop tray (which has
my laptop on it next to the bed) and tries to pull the treats out of hiding
on my nightstand. When he can't get them out he starts meowing at
me then he gets the other furkids involved and so I cave in and give them
a few each.
Guess I am going to have to go buy more (I always forget to buy them).

Now on to the pictures of what was in my wonderful box.

Picture #1
Variety box of hot teas, Debbie Macomber book, avon lotion
and some French roast coffee.

Picture #2
Tin with no sugar hot cocoa, recipe cards, Christmas socks,
and kitchen towel & pot holder set.

Picture #3
Furkids treats, glass ornament painted with snowman face,
2 patterns, package of safety pins, tin of straight pins, and
Santa pin (which I put on yesterday for the potluck Christmas
lunch at work).

Picture #4
5 fat quarters, the one at the bottom has antique sewing machines.

Picture #5
Little angel pin and an adorable bag which I will have to make sure
to hide from my oldest daughter so she doesn't try to "borrow" it
from me (and never return).

I will have to do a second post to add the rest of the pictures that shows
the cute snowman fabric panel I got.

This is the snowman fabric panel I also got from grammyj. It took
3 pictures to get all the different scenes on it.

Thank you again Janice I loved it all!!

Let's see - have a lot of threads I wanted to respond to.
MrsAJ11, take care - as we age, those 'tumbles' get harder on our bodies. Hope you're feeling better soon
SharonAnn, you too - take care of the body and rest up during your time off. I know you can keep replacing those knees, but that's not the point. Take the time to do the exercises and heal best you can
ShortMom, I have one of the plug in bobbin winders. It's not the greatest, but way better than my sewing machine's winder. I generally wind 15-20 bobbins at a time and my Elna overheats and shuts down. Talk about frustrating. Had to find something that would work as I wanted it, fill more than 2-3 bobbins at a time and not overheat. I keep neutral color bobbins at ready for all my sewing (tans, ecru, light brown, etc) and only fill another bobbin when I want a specific color - quilting specific on the back of something. All piecing is the neutrals. I'm upstairs, so really can't tell you the brand, but I've managed to work well with mine. Sounds like Jaba has had problems with hers though.
Quilty Louise, looks like your package was overstuffed with really neat things.
I'm again, like Jaba, waiting on mine. I was hoping it would arrive before Christmas, but doesn't appear to be. Oh, well, I'll expect it before the new year!!
And glad we're all here writing - yesterday was supposed to be the end of the world. I'm SO GLAD it didn't happen - I have too much to do!
