...it just takes time to go from newbie quilter to "I'm a comfy quilter".....boy, I'd like to take my stash and beat that quilting instructor....holy smokes.

Better to have a sister that cares "too much" than one that turns her nose up at your projects I say...at least you have a commen interest.

    I now know that:
I use my rotary cutter improperly.
My bobbin thread is not always the same color as the top thread.
I incorrectly mix my fabrics in the same quilt. ( Joanns, WalMart and LQS) Oh! The horror!!
I sometimes use a sheet for backing.
I sometimes use dishes, lids or whatever instead of proper templates.
I don't really NEED all the rulers I have.
I don't always follow the pattern.
Bless her well meaning heart, I love her dearly but if she says just ONE MORE thing about my methods or lack thereof, I will beat her to death with my stash.
I sent her the link to this board, she will learn much more here from all of you talented folks.
LOL....I just wish I had a sister that would do things with me, including sewing! She is always to busy! Aren't we all?

I'll bet now that is one gift you wish you had not gifted her. LOL

Personally I live to annoy the quilt police. Send her my way.

    Bless her sweet heart.

Sounds like a friend of mine who went into therapy - was suddenly an expert at telling me all my "issues" and problems with my relationships.

Eventually the pendulum will swing back to neutral until then ... hang on and enjoy the ride!
