Thanks Janice....I am glad to be on the last two this morning....swooooosh! My sewing "studio" has been turned into a sweat factory! My DH is afraid to come near the doorway!

Terri, I can't imagine coming home to find the stairs have been removed into the house....I might laugh at first...but..... if I had to roll over the dog dish to get inside (no pun intended I would still be on the porch! Video please....hahahahaha!

Yes good thing I can laugh but also rather sad. Spent many a day sitting on those steps watching my kids play and grow up. But out with the old and in with the new. I know contractor will absorb the cost so not worried there. We live in the city and everything is very close together, the machine operators were from the country and pretty challenged working in such a confined area but did great. First is equipment ready to knock down fence and garage. Second is the mess, third everything removed and area for footing dug. Last is the surprise of no front steps

Terriamn - Love the memories you brought back to me. One year we decided to have the bathroom redone while we were away on our two week vacation. Contractor was our friend and we knew all the workers, everything planned, tile, windows, cabinets etc all ready to go..
Returned from vacation to find it not done - seems when they started to take the room apart they found a floorboards under bathtub needed to be replaced and couldn't get the tub out. Then the ceiling insulation needed to be replaced as the original had been put in backwards. It all turned out, thankful that we had a camper to use for facilities for a week!!
