    So, in addition to what color of thread would you use to applique around these, which sashing do you all like? Thanks so much for the input!!

    I like the plaid, but would be careful on how you cut it so it looks straight. Also the light blue would be better than the dark..it's a little too busy, I think.

    Cut the plad on the bias and you won't need to try and lining it up.

    I like the plaid but how about on the bias. I have done this before and it looks real cool. Just starch it alot and handle it gently when sewing. Do the binding the same way!

    I really was leaning toward the light blue, for fear that the plaid wouldn't look straight...but on the bias is a great idea for it...thanks for all the input!

    I agree, plaid on the bias! Great blocks, BTW. Someone is gong to love this quilt!!
