I am trying to decrease my scraps, not doing so well as I think they are having babies. Would you sash this quilt or just keep going the way it is layed out?

I would most likely put a light solid sashing on first, then add another scrappy round (made from 4 patches) and then finally a large sashing to finish it off. Finally I would bind it in scrappy binding. I guess it really depends on where it will be used. So many options, for sure. I find the more scrappy things I make like quilts, runners, pouches and kennel pads, the more scraps there seem to be.

Thank you, I will have to play with it for awhile and see what I have for sashing.

It really depends on the look you want. It looks terrific like it is (postage stamp style), but adding sashing or borders will allow you to get more creative :-)

I agree. That type of quilt is always a favorite with me so I'd keep going.

You could "frame" sections like you have made - and keep going until it gets to be the size you want it to be.

It is very pretty so far, I don't think I would put sashes on it.

Here is a modern postage stamp quilt finished. Notice that she alternated lights and darks. If you continue on with your quilt like that (can continue to substitute some mediums for lights and darks), I would think yours would be comparable:

I say keep going, I love it and like others I love postage stamp quilts and this will be a beautiful one if you go that route, either way I can't wait to see it all done!
