Thanks. I have been making them a different way, but your method looks faster and easier.

Oh good grief!! How well I remember those days too. My bag of dampened clothes was always taking up space in the freezer. DH thought I was weird. But the truth is that, here in FL., with the awful humidity and mold problems before a.c. in everyone's home, we HAD to do things like that. Leave that dampened bag of clothes out for a day or two (if you couldn't get it finished quickly,) and your clothes would need to be washed all over again to get the musty smell out.

I remember sprinkling clothes, rolling them up and putting them in the refrigerator for awhile.

2.5 = 1.5

Kathy

WOW, I am thinking how fast this would be with my Accu-Go...oh my goodness, what a GRAND idea! Thanks for posting!

I have used this method only once but it was very easy and a lot of fun. I used it to make a charity quilt from scraps. Amazing the short cuts that we find on this site. Glad you shared this for the newcomers.

Ladies, about the 7/8 measurement and all that...with this method, if it is a little too large, just cut it down to the right size! This is WONDERFUL and God Bless you for posting this, Oma....you are a dear!

is this the same method ditter uses? i know she said on all 4 sides. but i can't remember if she cut them once or twice. i think she is the one who posted a table for all the sizes. will have to go back downstairs and look to see if her 9.5 =finished 6.5. then know whether they are the same.
