222k SINGER MACHINE RARE
#11
That one is in the "lottery Dreams" categorie, IF I won I would fly to pick it up and carry it home !!!!!
I remember when I was ten years old (and sewing for my "toni" doll) seeing the free-arm feather at the local SINGER shop and thinking how great that would be for sewing. Sixty-five years later, I would so go there!

That seems to be about what I see them listed for. I don't think I've seen one listed under $1K. (Not that I've been looking, but I notice them when I do see them.) I guess it's worth it, since people do pay those prices!
There's a local antique mall that usually has 4 or 5 of the regular 221's for sale, and they always want over $400 for them. And they seem to sell, or else maybe the owners rotate them, because they do seem to disappear every once in awhile. I wonder what sort of tag they'd put on a 222...probably $2K, and they just might get it. (I live in a touristy/wine area...people drink too much wine then go buy overpriced antiques they probably regret later, lol.)
