The scary part - I have as many machines in the house -the Singer collection and the working girls!

But the real pride of the collection is my attachments - I've got more sets of attachments than I do machines.

Absolutely awesome Cathy, even though I'm not into machines this old I'd love to come and see your collection. Well done!

    Cathy,

Just incredibly amazing. I could be convinced to build me a place like that. Someday.

Regards the Free Long Bobbin rotary. The bobbin does not rotate, what rotates is the shaft that drives the shuttle.
Instead of swinging back and forth like most it rotates moving the shuttle back and forth through a u-joint. Mine is the quietest and smoothest VS I have.

Old black sewing machines still look a lot alike to me. But the more I look at these pictures and these machines chosen well and put together-well, it is getting easier to see the differences between them when no two of these are just the same.

Great job! Would be great to visit. Did I miss them or were there no Featherweights?

Sandra, all the Singers except the Patcher are in the house. I think I've got about 30 Singers, including 2 black featherweights (one in the cabinet) one white, one tan and one black 222.

Once I get the attachments moved out to the shed (the non Singer ones, that is) I'll have more room to get my Singer collection organized, though it's spread out all over the house too.

Anyone coming to see the machines in the Shed would also get to see those in the house. Including the 24" HQ Fusion, and if you want, I can probably let a person try their hand at operating the long arm. I've got a 12' frame and almost always have a few feet free for play room on the end.
