At the rate they're going it will be correctly priced around the next presidential election.

I can't decide if this is worth it or not. On the one hand,... treadles can be had around $60 here... not often, but occasionally. On the other hand,.. I know of 2 treadles that have been converted that could be converted back...

I don't know about your area up there but around here you can get full irons for about that price. In good condition, too.

Not affiliated, just seems to be a nice one, if anyone in the Katy, TX area, and somewhat reasonable in comparison to others I've seen and in much better shape for sure

I haven't seen a full set of irons in a few months, but the ones I saw, about 400 miles south of us, were listed at $100. Don't know if they ever got it though.
I'm not sure where you are, but I'm going to guess the US? (Based on the "Up there" comment. :) )

What's something like a Singer 28 with a hand crank and motor in fairly good condition, decals maybe a little worn go for? As a comparison. I snagged one of these about 2 months ago for $70, but typically I see them listed around $200. I'm guessing that the price I paid is closer to realistic in many parts of the US... possibly even a little high?

I ask because I see the prices in the states, and want to take an empty trailer down south with me. :)

you might be close to right

Thats about right on the hand crank. My partner and I find irons all the time. If you are in search of particular ones let me know and I'll be happy to keep a lookout for you. I know the ones we've shipped cost 42.00 to ship here in the US. Not sure how much more it would be to you but I'm happy to investigate for you. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

Thanks for the info. :)

I think you'd find it would be a lot more to get them out of the country. :( I was talking to a supplier about this yesterday. There's a reason that almost no one in Canada offers free shipping. As soon as Canada Post is involved, it's really bad, and you have to always talk with suppliers and tell them don't ship across the border with a courier, or the brokerage fees are high enough that you feel like you need a second job. To ship a package that's about 15 pounds, and the size of a rolling tote across the country, costs me almost $40. An "envelope" similar to what I've had shipped from Sew-Classic will typically run $15 - 20. Hers are usually marked at under $5.

wow...now I know why we don't ship to Canada lol!
