Does anyone know where I could find more info on the Minerva? I've done searches but all draw blanks, mainly dating info would be great. Thanks again Sharon  |
Nuther freebie. When I search CL, I just put "sewing". And there it was on the "free" section. Naturally, we had to check it out. A treadle Singer in the plain vanilla cabinet. Looks like perhaps a 27 with very silvered decals. Also included a puzzle box. This was one of those "its for free on the porch" ads.
DH also picked up a vintage girls bicycle, The Raleigh", that had the little basket and original bell. He knows someone who restores them. Don't know if it is a curse or blessing when the thrift shop and estate sale folks want your name/phone in case they get a machine. |
Anyone know what this machine is??

:-( http://www.thayerrags.com/ThayerRagsMachines.htm They have a number of sewing machines that could be cleaned, polished and put back into production. Or if you need parts it might be a good option. Please let us know if this is not a good resource. Judy |

:http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/for/2281013605.html At first I thought it was a mistake but I see the comma so I assume that is the price that he/she is trying to sell it for. |
I went back to look at the Japanese cloned 15 (the badged Sears Kenmore)today, money in hand, ready to buy. I had made my decision to get it, but sadly found it did NOT have it's cord or it's bobbin case. The person I talked to said it was her sister's, and she took my phone # so her sister could call me. I am hoping and praying she can find that cord and the bobbin case at her house, as both are very specific to this machine and it's dead in the water without them. WHAT A BUMMER...
