Trish, I love the quilt you just posted! It looks like it belongs in a girls room - hearts and all that pink! What machine did you use to piece that top? I can't wait to see it quilted!

Nancy, do you know the age of that machine that you want? I was wondering if the machine is younger than the treadle. Someone decided to switch machine heads at one time, an updating. Yes, according to Pfaff serial number records that machine is from 1912, exactly 100 years old! Way before any Japanese clones were made! I do wonder as you do Monica, if the Pfaff brothers didn't copy a Singer 15! Miz Johnny says even her Pfaff looks like a class 15! I can't wait to get that machine home and see the front! There are a lot of different machines with the tension on the face, but they aren't shaped so much like a 15 - like this Pfaff is shaped! Nancy |

I'm in love with the irons, they are gorgeous!! One part of me says to find the next steward and another part of me says keep it. My husband says keep it, but I know that I will never use this machine. I feel like the poor machine has lost its soul, and the cabinet has followed to an extent. It's the irons that keep screaming at me to keep. |

This is the machine that I cleaned up this weekend. It still could use a bit more cleaning, but the goal was to get her cleaned up enough to move it out of the garage. It's a National, called The Eldredge. I think this is National's first in line of "The Eldredge" series- but I could be wrong. Spent hours looking for another machine and cabinet like this on the internet, only to find one person. Found one person with "The Eldredge", but it looked to be the next in line. At first I thought this machine was made around 1890, but when cleaning up the cabinet top there was a stamp in the wood with 1901. I love the treadle irons on this machine the most. I'm not in love with the machine and the poor cabinet needs help. Wish this machine found Glenn instead of me. He would have this cabinet looking gorgeous! The cool part of the machine is the long section (neck) isn't round, but a hexagon shape. I haven't sewn with it. I rescued this machine; I think the previous owner messed up the decals. I don't know what I'm going to do with this machine.

Here is my Mocha 301. My newest machine that I got from Cathy, Mizkaki. The jury was out on her at first. I took her to Girl's Night Out, and because I am so used to the 1/4" foot and the acrylic extension bed, I just couldn't seem to sew a straight seam with her that night! Of course, it didn't help that the quilt top's blocks that I was trying to put together were all screwed up after I squared the blocks up! Anyway, I brought her home and started using her a a few days ago! I am in LOVE with this machine! I got my 1/4" slant foot and I am now putting the blocks together for the top I thought would not go together right - and they are matching (mostly)![ATTACH=CONFIG]315795[/ATTACH] I am loving this machine!
