I came across his blog when researching the Bell machine. There had been a Bell for sale at one of the thrift stores out in Modesto; listing was on CL. I had never seen a Bell; so, I did a google. His Blog was the most info on Bell that I could find:http://www.doubleveil.net/zssmp/bell.htm

Purplefiend, You're treadling a Pfaff, correct? How is that machine? The photo of that treadle looked very nice. - or I should say that the treadle looks like it would treadle smoothly.
My Pfaff treadle is a sweet machine, so smooth, its a natural born treadle. Its very smooth and quiet. The only thing I can't get it to do is wind a bobbin, the bobbin tension disc is messed up. I wind bobbins on my electric Pfaff or one of the Singer 15s. I'm making log cabin blocks with her now. I named her Gertrude after my great Aunt. Sharon Ps.The Singer 101 has the potted motor and a smaller hand wheel. |
this is the cabnet i have ,needs to be redone but just like it ,, and the 101 machine does have a pottoed motor Dottie Bug
