Chris the guy who use to repair my tack/saddles has passed. I would love to hang out with your uncle! I am thinking about making an offer on that machine! It would be so cool to own one of those cobbler machines in a treadle. I have no desire to make saddles, but it would be cool to be able to re-sheepskin/repair them! I need to meet an old saddle maker to teach me how!

Hummmmm at 28 inch neck? :thumbdown:Now let's see, how could you hide a machine with a neck that long? NO, I don't think you can sneak something like that machine in the house - even my husband would notice that! Hehehehehehe

Stand it on it's end and put a lampshade on it in the corner.

HM I like the lamp idea... Paint it camo so nobody knows it's there

I picked up three more project machines this weekend. A Kenmore Stylist 86, a Singer Model 15 that I had thought was a clone at first, and a Singer 99-13 in a bentwood case.

Is that 15 stamped with Singer markings underside? I have some machines with no upper markings - I should look below.

Try looking up the Serial # on Singer's site. http://www.singerco.com/support/machine-serial-numbers
